Additionally, Church Social has a role-based permissions system which allows administrators to give assigned members access to specific tools (e.g. a bulletin editor who uploads the bulletin each week).

The searchable photo directory gives members easy digital access to photos, contact information, birthdays, anniversaries, ward information and more. Families can upload their own photos, while any member can submit correction requests when they find mistakes. With this feature, everyone helps contribute to keeping the directory up-to-date.

Calendar of events

Calendar Of Events

The first thing members see when they login, the calendar provides a helpful overview of what’s happening in the congregation that week, and in the months ahead. Events range from birthdays and anniversaries, to bible studies, youth conferences, fundraising events, committee meetings and more. Any member can contribute to the calendar and create an event making this a dynamic, practical tool with real, reliable information.

Website Plugin:

The calendar is private, but events such as regular worship services or community activities can also be marked as “public”. If you have a website built with WordPress this plugin automatically displays these events on your church’s public website.

Scheduling tools

Scheduling Tools, with Reminders

Bring the various church-related schedules online in a powerful way! Much more than simply uploading an existing document, you can build schedules for the nursery, ushers, host family, collections and more RIGHT INSIDE THE APP. Members can check online to see the schedule, and if you enable email reminders, Church Social will automatically send them a reminder email up to seven days in advance. Your members will LOVE this feature!

Sermon archive

Sermon Archive

Everyone can benefit from listening to a past sermon, but the audio/video experts in your congregation will really appreciate the sermon archive. Upload multiple file formats for each sermon, including audio (MP3), video (YouTube/Vimeo) and documents (PDF). Take it a step further and assign multiple Bible passages to a sermon, and even readings from the Three Forms of Unity!

Website Plugin:

If you have a website built with WordPress, this plugin automatically makes sermons publicly available on your church website! Public visibility is set at the format level, which allows you to make the full service available to members, but only the sermon portion available to the general public.

Powerful Membership Management Tools

Church Social makes managing your membership information a simple task. No more struggling with Excel, old databases or laborious software updates. Instead, simply have your statistician enter your member information and then watch this data “come alive” through member accounts, email lists, statistics & reports, notifications and more! Church Social was designed specifically for Reformed Churches, which means it has the fields you need, and not the ones you don’t.

Import and export tools

Member Import & Export Tools

One of the more challenging tasks for congregations when they first sign-up for Church Social is migrating their existing membership data to Church Social. We’ve made this process much easier with our bulk import tool.

Once all your data is entered, you can let go of your old system of member management because your data is not “locked in”. Our bulk member export tool allows the export of membership data to a spreadsheet format (CSV) that you can keep and backup outside of the software. This also serves as a handy report generation tool.

Statistics and reports

Statistics & reports

Church Social automatically generates detailed statistics using the membership information you enter. It greatly reduces time spent by statisticians running regular reports by providing several that are always ready-to-go. And, if the report you need does not exist, simply generate it using our bulk member export tool.

Ward management

Ward Management

Wards are a common way Reformed churches organize members of a congregation into smaller groups, so that they may be properly cared for by the office bearers. Church Social has a robust ward management system, which allows for a variety of different office bearer assignment and ward naming techniques.

Office bearers tools

Office Bearers Tools

To assist them in their important roles, office bearers (pastors, elders and deacons) are given special access to more sensitive membership information within Church Social. For example, office bearers are shown previous marriage information, dates of loved-ones deaths, membership history and more. They are also given access to the private council only document archive categories.

Printable family sheets

Printable Family Sheets

Not all members in your congregation will be comfortable with an electronic member directory, which is why Church Social makes it really easy to create high-resolution, print-ready family sheets. Output them all, and then in the future, only print the new or updated ones. These are ideal for use in a binder style directory, and are available in both full page and half page formats.
